The Freedom of Information Law, effective January 1, 1978, reaffirms your right to know how your government operates. It provides rights of access to records reflective of governmental decisions and policies that affect the lives of everyone. You may use the below form to file a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request online. Submissions are automatically sent to Richard J. Brongo, Chili Town Clerk and Records Access Officer. Please answer all of the questions provided as completely, accurate, and specific as possible to expedite your request.

Please Note:

• There may be fees associated with copying records that you have requested. Currently, that fee is $0.25 per page for documents up to 8.5" x 14" in size.
• If you have chosen to have this response via Electronic Mail, there will be no copy charges incurred for documents up to 8.5" x 14" in size.
• If the materials you have requested need to be mailed or shipped to you, you will incur shipping and postage fees.
• If the Town determines for any reason that it is unreasonable to fulfil your request via Electronic Mail, you will be notified and subject to the fees described herein.

The Freedom of Information Law requires that an agency respond to a request within five business days of receipt of a request. Therefore, I would appreciate a response as soon as possible and look forward to hearing from you shortly. If for any reason any portion of my request is denied, please inform me of the reasons for denial in writing and provide the name and address of the person or body to whom an appeal should be directed.
