You must be a United Sates citizen and be 18 years old by the date of the election. You also need to be a resident for 30 days prior to the election and you can not claim the right to vote somewhere else. The next thing you need to do is go to a government office such as your Town Hall, Post Office or Library to pick up a Voter Registration Card. Fill it out and send it in. You can also register in person at the Monroe County Board of Election Office at 39 W. Main Street, Rochester. Their hours are Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Your completed application must be mailed or delivered to Monroe County Board of Elections no later than 25 days before the election in which you want to vote.
