The Town of Chili will receive sealed proposals for a new Veterans Memorial at the Chili Community Center located in Chili, New York. Bids will be received by the Town of Chili at the Chili Town Hall, 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, New York 14624 until 3:00 PM, prevailing local time on April 2, 2024, for the construction of the work outlined herein, in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by the Town of Chili.

The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the following place, date and time.

Bids will be received in a sealed envelope on a Lump Sum basis.

The Bidding and Contract Documents regarding this project may be obtained at the place identified above from the Town Clerk’s office. A fee of $75.00 will be required for each set of Bidding and Contract documents furnished to prospective bidders. Checks for the Bidding Documents must be made payable to the Town of Chili Town Clerk.

An additional payment of $35.00 will be required for shipping and handling for Bidding Documents which are requested to be shipped by the Town of Chili or Lu Engineers. This charge is non-refundable and shall be paid with a separate check or money order made payable to the Town of Chili or Lu Engineers.

A full refund of deposit for up to two (2) copies of the Bidding Documents will be made to those submitting a bona fide bid, if the Documents are returned in good condition within thirty (30) days after award of the contract or rejection of the bid.

A refund of 50% of the deposit for one (1) copy of the Bidding Documents will be made for the return of all other Bidding Documents in good condition within thirty (30) days of award of the contract or rejection of the bid.

The work is generally described as follows:

Project Title: VETERANS MEMORIAL AT CHILI COMMUNITY CENTER

The work consists of the construction of a new Veterans Memorial with associated sidewalks and landscaping at the existing Chili Community Center located at 3237 Chili Ave, Rochester, N.Y. 14624.

The foregoing is a general outline of work only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the work to be performed under the contract.

Proposals must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, as well as a signed copy of the Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate included in the proposal.

The Town of Chili is exempt under Section 1116 of the Tax Law and, therefore, no sales tax shall be included in the bid.

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and labor and material bonds in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.

The Town of Chili reserves the right to consider bids for forty-five (45) days after the receipt before awarding any contract. The Town of Chili further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept any Proposal or individual item or items, which they may deem to be most favorable to its best interest.
