Notice is hereby given that the Budget Hearing of the Gates Fire District will take place on October 15, 2019 beginning at 7:00p.m. at the Gates Fire Station No. 1 located at 2355 Chili Avenue for the purpose of reviewing the Proposed 2020 District Budget in accordance with the New York State Town Law.

Those wishing to speak are requested to have filed their names with Donna Capone, District Secretary of the Gates Fire District no later than 3:00p.m. on October 15, 2019.  Comments should be focused, direct and limited to no more than 3-5 minutes.  Please be aware that questions will not be answered at this meeting.

The District Secretary will make available for inspection, at least five days before the public hearing, by an interested person during Gates Fire District office hours (10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) copies of the Proposed 2020 District Budget.  This notice is being posted in accordance with the provisions of Section 94 of the Public Officers Law of the State of New York.  By order of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Gates Fire District.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2020 Preliminary Budget of the Town of Chili and the 2020 Preliminary Special Districts Assessments have been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Chili, 3333 Chili Avenue, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours.

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Chili Town Board will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on October 16, 2019 at 7:00 PM to consider the following:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a Local Law has been introduced to the Town Board of the Town of Chili, New York, on the 18th day of September 2019, designated Local Law Introductory No. ______, 2019 to override the NYS Tax Cap for the 2020 Budget Year.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a Public Hearing upon said Local Law No. ______, 2019 has been scheduled for the 16th day of October 2019, at 7:00 P.M., to be held by the Chili Town Board at the Chili Town Hall, 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, New York 14624. An opportunity to be heard in regard thereto will then and there be given. Written comments may also be directed to the Chili Town Clerk, Town Hall, 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, New York 14624, on or before 4:30 P.M. on the 16th day of October, 2019. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that I, Virginia Ignatowski, Town Clerk/Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Chili, have received the tax rolls and warrants for collection of school taxes for the Town of Chili residents in the GATES CHILI SCHOOL DISTRICT, CHURCHVILLE-CHILI SCHOOL DISTRICT, WHEATLAND-CHILI SCHOOL DISTRICT and CALEDONIA-MUMFORD SCHOOL DISTRICT, and I will receive payment of said school taxes at the CHILI TOWN HALL, 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, New York, 14624, from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, beginning September 1, 2019.


A. Full Payments – September 1 – October 1, 2019
. . . No Interest Due . . . Pay TOTAL AMOUNT of tax bill to Virginia Ignatowski, Receiver of Taxes.

Full Payments – October 2- October 31, 2019
. . . ADD 2% Interest to TOTAL AMOUNT of tax bill and pay to Virginia Ignatowski, Receiver of Taxes.

B. Installment Payments – All school districts, except Caledonia-Mumford, accept installment payments. Please follow these instructions:

1. First Installment – Pay TOTAL amount, including service charge, on stub #1 by September 15, 2019 to Virginia Ignatowski, Receiver of Taxes. *Note that since the 15th lands on a Sunday in 2019, the deadline is extended to the next business day, which is September 16, 2019.

2. September 17 to September 20th – ADD 1% INTEREST TO TOTAL amount including service charge on stub #1 and pay to Virginia Ignatowski, Receiver of Taxes.

3. Providing the first installment (see due dates above) has been made properly, installments for due dates October 15, 2019 and November 15, 2019 7 are payable by mail to the Monroe County Treasurer, PO Box 14420, Rochester, NY 14614, or in person at 39 W Main Street.

4. If the FIRST INSTALLMENT is NOT paid by September 20, 2019, the installment plan is NO LONGER AVAILABLE. The full amount of the school tax bill must be paid (See Instruction A above).


School taxes unpaid after that date, plus accrued interest and penalties, will be re-levied into the 2020 Town and County tax bill.

C. CHECKS must be made out CORRECTLY. Cash, check and credit card payments
are accepted.

D. Persons having checks returned to the Receiver marked INSUFFICIENT FUNDS or for ANY OTHER REASON will incur an additional $20.00 penalty.
