NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A
LOCAL LAW TO ESTABLISH A SIX-MONTH MORATORIUM ON TIER 3 SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM APPROVALS IN THE TOWN OF CHILI

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a Local Law has been introduced to the Town Board of the Town of Chili, New York, on the 16th day of October, 2024, to establish a six-month moratorium on Tier 3 Solar Energy System approvals in the Town of Chili.

 

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a Public Hearing upon said Local Law has been scheduled for the 13th day of November 2024, at 7:00 P.M., to be held by the Chili Town Board at the Chili Town Hall, 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, New York 14624. An opportunity to be heard in regard thereto will then and there be given. Written comments may also be directed to the Chili Town Clerk, Town Hall, 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, New York 14624, on or before 4:30 P.M. on the 13th day of November 2024. Rezoning of 2675 Chili Ave. from R-1-15 to NB

The Chili Town Board duly conducted a public hearing in accordance with the Town’s Zoning code commencing at 7:00 PM at the Town Hall on August 17, 2024 addressing the rezoning of 2675 Chili Ave. from R-1-15 (Residential Single Family 15,000 SF min. lot) to NB (Neighborhood Business).

The Town Board, after due consideration of the comments at the public hearing and Planning Board recommendation, duly passed a resolution on September 18, 2024, by a vote of 5-0 in favor, to approve the rezoning of 2675 Chili Ave to NB.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 2025 Preliminary Budget of the Town of Chili and the 2025 Preliminary Special Districts Assessments have been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Chili, 3333 Chili Avenue, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during office hours. The budget is also available on the Town of Chili’s website; www.townofchili.org.

FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Chili Town Board will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on October 16, 2024 at 7:00 PM to consider the following:

Position: Recreation Department – Recreation Assistant

Town of Chili Recreation Department

Chili Recreation seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Recreation Assistant. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), with benefits and a starting pay range of $39,568-$47,428.

Hours will vary and will include evening and weekend hours as required per scheduled programs and events.

This position is with our Recreation Department and works under the direct supervision of the Recreation Director, Recreation Supervisors, and Recreation Leader. The position involves organizing and assisting with various recreation programs, events, summer camps and sports leagues for participants of all ages (preschool to senior adult). Position also maintains rosters, attendance records and equipment for recreation programs. Work may include active participation in programs as well as direct supervision of program participants.

Applicant must have a good knowledge of a variety of recreational activities such as sports leagues, summer camps, arts and crafts, and special events, as well as have the ability to organize, conduct and instruct a variety of recreation and athletic activities; ability to work well with children, adults, and senior citizens in a recreation setting.

Applicant must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently, have strong social skills, excellent customer service skills, and experience working with the people of all ages, especially children. Previous related work experience in municipal recreation preferred.

SCHOOL TAX PAYMENT INFORMATION

                                                                                         

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that I, Virginia Ignatowski, Town Clerk/Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Chili, have received the tax rolls and warrants for collection of school taxes for Town of Chili residents in the GATES CHILI, CHURCHVILLE-CHILI, WHEATLAND-CHILI and CALEDONIA-MUMFORD SCHOOL DISTRICTS, and I will receive payment of said school taxes at the CHILI TOWN HALL, 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, New York, 14624, from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, beginning September 1, 2024.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

A. Full Payments

  1. September 1 – October 1, 2024 . . . No Interest Due . . . Pay TOTAL AMOUNT of tax bill to Virginia Ignatowski, Receiver of Taxes.
  2. October 2- October 31, 2024 . . . ADD 2% Interest to TOTAL AMOUNT of tax bill and pay to Virginia Ignatowski, Receiver of Taxes.
  3. November 1 – November 18, 2024 …Add 5% interest to TOTAL AMOUNT of tax bill and pay to Monroe County Treasurer, PO Box 14420, Rochester, NY 14614.

B. Installment Payments – All school districts, except Caledonia-Mumford, accept installment payments. Please follow these instructions:

  1. First Installment – Pay TOTAL amount, including service charge, on stub #1 by September 15, 2024 to Virginia Ignatowski, Receiver of Taxes (Since this lands on a Sunday in 2024, this is extended to September 16)
  2. September 16 to September 20thADD 1% INTEREST TO TOTAL amount including service charge on stub #1 and pay to Virginia Ignatowski, Receiver of Taxes.  (For 2024, this will run from September 17 to September 20)
  3. Providing the first installment (see due dates above) has been made properly, installments for due dates October 15, 2024 and November 15, 2024 are payable by mail to the Monroe County Treasurer, PO Box 14420, Rochester, NY 14614.
  4. If the FIRST INSTALLMENT is NOT paid by September 20, 2024, the installment plan is NO LONGER AVAILABLE.  The full amount of the school tax bill must be paid (See Instruction A above).

NO PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER NOVEMBER 18

School taxes unpaid after that date, plus accrued interest and penalties, will be re-levied into the 2025 Town and County tax bill.

C. Persons having checks returned to the Receiver marked insufficient funds or for any other reason will incur an additional $20.00 penalty.
