NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Chili, New York at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of January 2020, duly adopted a resolution subject to a permissive referendum, the purpose and effect of which is to use $185,000 from the Highway Equipment Reserve Funds to purchase an apprentice loader (replacement vehicle).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Chili, New York at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of January 2020, duly adopted a resolution subject to a permissive referendum, the purpose and effect of which is to use $75,000 from the General Fleet Reserve Fund to purchase a 1-ton dump truck (replacement vehicle).

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION SUBJECT TO A PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM; USE OF ASSESSMENT RESERVE FUNDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Chili, New York at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of January 2020, duly adopted a resolution subject to permissive referendum, the purpose and effect of which is to use up to $19,225 from the Assessment Reserve Funds to obtain services pertaining to the annual update of the Town’s assessment roll.

NOTICE OF TAXABLE STATUS DATE
(Pursuant to Sections 302 of the Real Property Tax Law)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:

All NEW applications for real property tax exemptions such as: LIMITED INCOME SENIOR CITIZENS, ENHANCED STAR, VETERANS, AGRICULTURE, LIMITED INCOME DISABLED, CLERGY, BUSINESS, NOT-FOR-PROFIT, ETC. must be filed with the Assessor on or before March 1, 2020*. The maximum income allowance for senior and disability is $37,399. The 2020-21 income limit for Basic STAR exemption is $250,000 and Enhanced STAR exemption is $88,050.

All renewable exemption applications have been mailed and must be returned by March 1, 2020. Current Basic and Enhanced STAR recipients who have registered with NYS for a STAR Credit Check need not apply.

Application forms are available at the Assessment Office during regular business hours. Completed applications, new and renewal, MUST BE RECEIVED on or before TAXABLE STATUS DATE, MARCH 1, 2020, at the Town Hall at 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, New York 14624. *2020 Taxable Status falls on Sunday; receipt of applications will default to NLT Monday, March 2, 2020, by close of business, as final deadline.

2020 Town and County Taxes

Notice is Hereby Given that the tax warrant for the collection of the 2020 Town and County Taxes on property located in the Town of Chili has been received by Virginia Ignatowski, Receiver of Taxes.

Virginia Ignatowski will receive taxes for the Town of Chili at the Chili Town Tax Office, 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, NY 14624, beginning December 30, 2019 through June 1, 2020 Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Taxes received on or before February 10, 2020 will not incur interest. All taxes remaining unpaid after February 10, 2020 shall be deemed unpaid and shall be subject to the following penalties:

During the period of February 11 to the last day of February, one and a half percent (1.5%) and additional one and one half percent (1.5%) for each month thereafter until return of unpaid taxes is made by the Receiver to the County Treasurer pursuant to the law.

Take Further Notice that pursuant to the provisions of the law, the tax rolls of the Town of Chili will be returned to the Monroe County Treasury on the second day of June 2019.

If your Taxes are not paid through your mortgage company and you do not receive a tax bill by January 9th, please contact the Town of Chili Tax Office at 889-6129.
