Extensive research was completed by Tom & Sharon Swain in 2022. Family DNA identifies the Swain’s to nearly 140 years at said residence. Chili foundation family names of Bailey, Nichols & Ford also belong with Tom and Sharon. The interior restoration is exemplified throughout the home and is truly a step back into history. The Chili Historical Preservation Board, honored the Land Mark Home as a true effort of pioneering in early Chili. The highest “blue dot” classification was bestowed and special recognition given to Chili’s only “ 5 seater Privy”, located on said property. During an Historical 200th year celebration of the Town of Chili, On April 2, 2022, the Town Board passed Land Mark Status , unanimously, upon the Historic house.
