The Town of Chili is accepting applications for the positions of Substitute School Crossing Guards to assist students before and after school with street crossing. The Substitute School Crossing Guards are not assigned to a specific location, but will supplement staffing for absences at two locations, Florence Brasser Elementary School and Paul Road Elementary School. The hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and will be subject to a background check and drug screening process. The wage for this position is $60.09 per day.

Job Posting: Recreation Leader

Recreation Leader

Chili Recreation seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Recreation Leader. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), with benefits and a starting pay of $42,565.00.

Hours will vary and will include evening and weekend hours as required per scheduled programs and events.

This position is with our Recreation Department and works under the direct supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director and Recreation Supervisors. The position involves organizing and assisting with various recreation programs, events, Before/After School program, summer camps and sports leagues for participants of all ages. Position also maintains rosters, attendance records and equipment for recreation programs. Work will include direct supervision of program participants as well as active participation such as coaching and refereeing leagues.

Applicant must have a good knowledge of a variety of recreational activities such as sports leagues, Before and After School programs, summer camps, arts and crafts, and special events, as well as have the ability to organize, conduct and instruct a variety of recreation and athletic activities; ability to work well with children, senior citizens and other participants in a recreation setting.

Applicant must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently, have strong social skills, excellent customer service skills, and experience working with the people of all ages, especially children.
