The Town of Chili has an open position for a Dog Control Officer Part Time.
The position is an (ON CALL ONLY)
Candidate would be on call for nights, weekends and holidays.

Applicant would be responsible for assisting with the control and protection of the dog population and the protection of persons, property and domestic animals from dog attack and damage.  Duties include instituting court action for violation of relevant rules and regulations of the Agricultural and Market Law.  The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a senior level staff member.  Does related work as required.

Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft office, strong math skills and have excellent customer service skills.  Knowledge of state and local rules, regulations and ordinances and compliance.  Knowledge of quarantine, rabies and inoculation laws and isolation regulations and procedures, proper care, feeding and behavior of dogs and techniques.

The Town of Chili has an open position for a Dog Control Officer (Part Time) / Code Enforcement Assistant (Part Time).  Combined, this position is full-time (35 hrs/week).

Applicant would be responsible for assisting with the control and protection of the dog population and the protection of persons, property and domestic animals from dog attack and damage.  Duties include instituting court action for violations of relevant rules and regulations of the Agricultural and Market Law.  The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a senior level staff member.  This position is also responsible for investigating reported violations of the Town Code pertaining to land, property and vehicle use.  Work involves on-site investigations to verify complaints, issue warnings, take photographs and survey the surrounding properties.  Does related work as required.

Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft office, strong math skills and have excellent customer service skills.  Knowledge of quarantine, rabies and inoculation laws and isolation regulations and procedures, proper care, feeding and behavior of dogs and techniques.  Knowledge of state and local rules, regulations and ordinances and compliance.  Knowledge of procedures surrounding zoning, community planning and code compliance especially as it relates to land, property use, and legal procedures in code enforcement.  Must be able to communicate verbally, integrity, tact and use good judgement.

Recreation Attendant/Maintenance Staff (Chili Community Center)

Chili Recreation seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Recreation Attendant/Maintenance Staff (Chili Community Center). This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), with benefits and a starting pay of $36,979.00.

‘Typical work week will be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, however hours may vary based on Recreation programs, special events and other Community Center activities and occasionally may include some nights and weekends.

This position is with our Recreation Department and reports directly to the Director of Parks and Recreation. Position will serve as an attendant/maintenance staff at the Community Center and duties and responsibilities include:

  • Ensure rooms are clean and set up for scheduled activities
  • Routine cleaning and other janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and light cleaning
  • Ensure rooms/restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.)
  • Minor facility upkeep such as painting and light repairs
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Applicant must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently, have strong social skills, excellent customer service skills, and comfortable interacting with the people of all ages, especially children and seniors. Applicant must also be able to perform light manual labor as indicated above and may include, but not limited to, moving tables and chairs.
