Virginia Ignatowski
Town Clerk
Municipal Clerk certification in 2016 from the NYS Town Clerks Association. She currently serves as District 8 Director for NYSTCA and as Secretary for the Monroe County Town Clerks, Tax Receivers & Collectors Association. She is also a member of the NYS Association of Tax Receivers and Collectors and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
Ginny served as Town Councilwoman from 2003 through 2011. She started volunteering for the Town of Chili in 1994 as a member of the S. Chili Re-Zoning committee. She was also a member of the 1998 – 2001 Master Plan Update Committee and the Chili Drainage Committee from 1996 – 2003; serving as its Chairperson for two years.
Professionally, Ginny is a former Computer Programmer/Systems Analyst. She had worked at Excellus BC/BS, Xerox and Rochester Community Savings Bank in that capacity prior to staying at home to raise her three children. She then worked as an assistant in the Tax Department at Wilmorite, Inc.
Ginny is active with the St. Pius X parish and has played the violin for the Saturday music group since 1988. She has lived in South Chili with her husband, James, since 1987. They have three adult children, Jon, Matt and Trisha.
