The Office of the Fire Marshal is committed to providing the best public service, in order to improve public safety and protect the lives and property of every resident and visitor to the Town of Chili. This is accomplished through fire prevention, professional plan review and a thorough inspection program.

The Office of the Fire Marshal is responsible for the plan review and inspection of all new and existing buildings and premises, with the exception of residential dwelling units, in accordance with the provisions of the Town of Chili and the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Codes.

The Fire Marshal’s office maintains a comprehensive record of all complaints, inspections, investigations, notices served and permits written. They confer with, answer questions for, and provide direction to property owners, contractors, engineers, architects and others regarding fire protection requirements.
